Brian,
Roy now lives in Spain, not seen Jack for a few years. Taff Jones was well last time I saw him in 2004

Hi,
Pete Lines comes to mind, he was our drill Sgt on enlistment in JTR in 1964, anyone know of his whereabouts?

Hi Guys You have brought back some good memories, Some names are now fading now but I was also a drill sgt at the Depot and the College. Came part of the RD roll back in 78 along with Dave Bentley, Bill Macneal, Eddy Middle, Tom Macloughlin. Mike Turner. Did a number of DWTI courses I then went over to No2 area QM and into the armoury. with Gordy Sands Frank Tucker. What happen to Reg Hill ? and his mate gordy kidman. I am now living in Mauritius and enjoying my retirement Sgt Tim Turner

Reg Hill (affectionately or cruelly, remembered by many, as "Egg on Legs") was a brilliant trainer and soldier. He was the archetypal Sergeant, the man who screamed in your ear at point blank range, and took no sh*t from no man. An ex Airborne (and proud of it) man, he taught me to soldier during the mid 1970s. And taught me well.
He was a fair, strict, decent man, who must surely be remembered throughout the old Corps, and by anyone priviliged to have known him.
I heard he became a Probation Officer, good luck to the bloke.

1975 dunkirk platoon sergeant was Chris Mahoney ably assisted by Cpl Hankins (two decent guys) PTI was S/Sgt "Bernie the bully" Burniston. I have a hole between my back cheeks that reminds me of him
