Hi I have recently joined this site and would just like to say hello to everyone,My Name is Mike Oliver (Taffy) and I served with several Units during my nine year sign up.I trained at Aldershot beginning of 1970,,Dusty Miller was our squad Corporal,I remember (getting old now) Capt Mc.FarIane,the R.S.M. who used to nag me about the Colonel Boggy Horns that I had on my mini,some of the squad names at the time were Stan(from Huddersfield)Pinky to name a few.
I served with 94 Locating Regt attatched 156 Battery,based at Heidi Kersene,Celle.anyone remember Christiana the Sgts Mess waitress...served in N.Ireland a few times,sadly we lost young Gnr.Robert Curtis.on our first tour.
We were based at the Knicker factory at Albert Street...
Later I was posted to 20 Field Workshops R.E.M.E. Sent to N.Ireland again and joined 1st Batt.Hamspshire Regt,which I also did a course with 40 Royal Marine while attched to the Hampshires.
Anyway I have to finish here fo the moment as  am off to work,I just hope someone remembers me,as it would be great to get in touch with old friends...Cheers fro now.
