Hi all, I remember St. Omer during the mid 70's. "11 squad C company".
Any one remember Sgt Turner, Cpl McNeil (made upto Sgt while i was there) or l/cpl Todd, I remember Brian the Barber and his magic mix for shaving rashes lol.
I was there in 77-78 and got posted to Ireland on a 2yr tour so had to wait 8 weeks for 18th birthday.
The place was packed in those days and if memory serves me right there was a block full of regimental cooks too. Happy days.
Regards to all.

If you mean Rod Burton (tall guy) I was in training with him 68-71.
He's out lecturing at college now.

I was at St Omer in summer of 76  It was one of the hottest summers  going and we had to go out ot ash ranges to put out the fires an all night job. Dusty miller was the CSM. I was in the second block  opposite the Sgts mess second floor, can't for the life of me remember what Platoon I was in but remember Cpl mckenna, and a sgt  think he was a jock little guy. remember brian the Barber. I was in the silent Drill squad for the open day I carried one of the flags.A guy called Gill carried the other one. remember Dusty going mental one morning at parade coz  a guy in another platoon dared go on parade with no socks on thought Dusty was gonna blow a gaskit. Oh great memories (well what i can remember ha ha ).

Hi, I was a Junior Soldier between 1973 & 1975, B Coy, Dunkirk Platoon, 4th intake. as a lot of time has passed, and I have grown older, with maybe a hint of forgetfullness, I really have hazy recollections of dear old Aldershot, but what I do recall was that it was a  pretty good time, and then I got posted to Germany, oh what joy. Anyhow, any body out there remembers Robbo Robson, skinny lad from the North East, get in touch. TTFN Grin Grin
