Hi

I am looking for keith sheppard on behalf of my father peter gregory

I know that Keith served boy service between 1961-1963 in the army cartering corps.

He is originally from Newark.

His last address was duisberg, west Germany.

I believe he would be around 60-61 now.

If anyone has any information about keith or who rememebers my father please contact me as it would be great for him to hear from you

Hi Tasha. I served at St Omer Barracks with your father in the same platoon (El Alamien) in 1961 to 1962 during our training.

I also served in the Territorial Army with him, I can recall a couple of times we spent the same training  weekends at Aldershot and also at Grantham.

It would be great to hear from your father again and hopefully meet up again.

All the best for now.   regards George(Paddy) Brandon.

I first met Peter and Keith Sheperd in 1965.  I was posted to 1OFP and they were at 3 Inf Workshops, both in Tidworth.  I was only 18 then so they dragged me from my bed, stripped me and threw me in the snow.  A welcome that was well intentioned.  I think.  Pete was a fantastic charactor, always seemed happy, even though he was on the short side.  Whilst Keith was a strapping 6 foot + guy.  If you saw Keith you saw Pete.  I sort of kept in touch via a lady who worked in the kitchen - Betty Telfor, who died 4 years ago.  Her daughter, (sorry cant remember name), came to where I worked in Southampton and told me that she had died.
I last saw Keith in Gemany, must have been late 1980 ish.  He was working in a German school.  He told me that he was still in contact with Pete.  That is I am afraid all I can tell you.  I do hope you find someone else with more uptodate news.  Good luck.
