Another Profitable Visit to York!

(1/1)

Ian E Scott:
A chance conversation with a Sapper friend I have known 40+ years at a 59 Commando RE Reunion in June prompted me to ask him a question of someone from his home island of Jersey.

That someone was, Ian Bredonchelle who was my first barrack room J/Lcpl!

Stands back in amazement when he says, "He's my cousin"

What a stroke of luck, not only was I able to get in touch with "Bred", but also put others in touch with him.  You only remember the Good uns and Bad uns, "Bred" was definately in the Good uns category and after an afternoon of chewing over almost 50 years of "this and that" we departed the pub in York to go our seperate ways

Unfortunately, he's not yet into the computer age, but tells me he soon will be as there's lot's of people he remembers

If you know "Bred" and would like to get in touch send me a private email please  ;D

Rod Fisher:
Ian Bredonchelle and I were in the same intake,6th, B Coy,same barrack room even,Cassino Platoon. In fact one of the lads used to call him bread and jelly!!!! So after all these years Ian is the first one i have heard of.Only 9 of us were remaining to Pass Out,with an A Coy platoon.
