TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU THAT A FRIEND OF MINE
DIED TODAY THURSDAY 23RD (Feb 2006) AT 0400HOURS.
HIS NAME IS;EX CPL. ALFIE WESTALL ACC.
ALSO EXSGT.IN THE TA HERE IN  BALLYMENA.
HE PASSED AWAY IN THE RVH.IN BELFAST.
HE WAS AN "OLD SWEAT"

i knew alfie back in the late 70s while posted in ballymena lovely bloke ,always ready for a quiet night on the beer and very handy as he wasone of the few cooks who had a car ,sorry to hear that he passed on i,ll always remember him wiht a smile on his face {unless it was his round}all the best geoff brown.  ps hello roy nice to know your still around give my regards to your wife .

thanks for letting us know about alfie i served in st patricks for 2 years i think we just missed each other. is jona still about and living in ballymena ?and would you please give roisin my best wishes and i hope her family are well

I am truly sorry to see that my old mate alfie has passed on,we worked together our wives and kids lived together in my quarters outside of camp when we were in malaya 63/66 .I have some great memories and photos and i hope Eve and kids have survived him as if they read this they will then know that my Wife Lesley passed away in January 2006 .(god look after them)
