Hi there.

I'm wondering if any of you listed here would remember my Dad. Bryan Nokes i think he joined up in 1955, and has been to N.Ireland, with 1DERR Sennelager with 39 Missle Regiment, British forces Emblem in Belgium and again with the 1DERR in Berlin. Various other places include Shoesburyness at Horseshoe Brks. After leaving the ACC we moved to Australia where he joined the Australian Army. Just in case any of you do remember him . He's going well.

I work and live in Libya just about to go back after all the trouble out there.
My wife is Moroccan so we have a house in Morocco and we are also building a villa out there.
We also spend time in Newcastle as that's where I'm originally from.
Also Brighton as that's where my parents live now.

Yeah that was a experience working in Cove,  huge feeding numbers at the weekend when your Kitchen was duty kitchen. Good times and even better experience, still using what I learned these days, and yeah I did learn something from Scotty, not much mind you at that time I knew everything anyway.  ::) ::)

I think I may have worked with Bryan Nokes when I was at 39 Missile, ask him if he remembers Pete Crowhurst and Wally Hammond they were there when I was.

From what I have heard it is a great place to live. I was further along the drag in Egypt for National Service. Fabled weather around that area. No wonder so many ex service personnel chose to hang on after the war.
I am picking the area will rocket ahead as a main tourist destination when the turmoil settles back to normalsy.
