Title: Death of Lt Col Alan Heron ACC

I regret to inform you that Lt Col Alan Heron died in hospital on the night of Wed 7th December, 2005 aged 74, after a long illness.

I had the privelage to serve under Col Alan at 3 Catering Region, Bulford in the mid 80's and will always remember his unflappable style and fair mindedness.

Did some Sailing with The Col, Gosport to Gurnsey, Really great fun. A Real Officer  and a Gent. Am Truly Sorry to hear of his Passing. They D`ont make em like that anymore .
