The Northern Ireland Veterans Association (NIVA) will be having a Service of Remembrance in September 2007.
The service will be held at 11.30 am on Saturday 22nd September at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffs.
We will, on the day, be remembering and paying tribute to those members of the Military, Police and Prison Service who gave their lives during the fight for peace in Northern Ireland.
The day will consist of a service within the chapel at the arboretum followed by a march to the Ulster Ash Grove for the laying of wreaths.
We will then be having an informal drink at the local Royal British Legion
Membership of NIVA is not required for attendance and all will be made welcome, therefore we would greatly appreciate you bringing this event to the attention of anyone you know who served in Northern Ireland.
We also welcome standard bearers from any association/organisation.
It is our sincere hope that you can join us on the day in paying tribute to those who laid down their lives.
If anyone wants any more information regarding accomodation, location etc then please contact me via PM or visit the NIVA website at www.nivets.org.uk
Thanks
Dave
