Title: looking for info for dad
Post by: john51278 on November 21, 2009, 06:16:17 AM
hi all my father is a technophobe and has asked me me to post for him
he was  catering corps for 22 years and at the end was always being bollocked by the rqms for not changing his capbadge he joined around 75-76 served in londonderry, topcliffe, hohne, dusseldorf, driffield, leconsfield, hameln, fallingbostall, army hq scotland, finished up at fort george inverness
his name is Kev Penny was married to janet and had 3 lovely boys of wich i am the best looking
as a pads brat it was great to travel and experience a different life to that of most "normal" children and i always remember the cookhouse familys having a great spread put on for them at christmas times, i remember on various occasions father "dressing" cakes for hours at a time only for us 3 to run through and swipe a finger right over the royal icing
father has always said that when they reformed all the logistical branches into 1 that standards would drop, after serving in the army myself for 5 years (infantry) and seeing the food that proper chefs could produce out of very little compared to that of the logistic corps chefs i am inclined to agree strongly.

also me and my brothers are trying to find an ACC watch for him for xmas any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated
