Title: WO2 (CSM) John (Jack) English
Post by: Ian E Scott on August 09, 2011, 10:39:07 PM
I am sorry to inform you that John (Jack) English died on 5 Aug after a period of illness. He was a member of the ACC Regimental Duty Role and rose to the rank of WO2 (CSM) before retiring. Many recruits and young officers had cause to thank him for his guidance and professionalism during the years he spent at the ACC Training Centre, St Omer Barracks. He and his brother Roy were stalwarts of the RD role and did much to enhance the fabric and reputation of the Sergeant’s Mess.

Jack’s funeral will be on Thursday 11th Aug 2011 at 1320 hrs at the East Chapel Crematorium, Aberdeen.

His widow is Sheila English who many will remember for her support as the Civilian Area Civilian Staff Manager, Smith Dorien House in Aldershot.

Jack was one of the good guys, terrifying on the drill square, but a really nice guy when you got to know him. RIP Jack.
