i was in St Omer in the early 70s block in front of the Sgts mess, when i first re-enlisted,Paddy O'Riely was the platoon Sgt, when he went for his courts Marshal Dusty Miller took over ,there was also a Cpl who used to sing in the pubs called Chris Betts, i used to take him to his engagements in the car, i dont remeber to many of the lads but they where a good bunch, when i was on guard i used to come round on a morning with a bin lid and a pick shaft to wake every one up....wonder if any one remembers it all, it was a happy place and after work it was down to the Princess or the Globtrotter..like to hear from any one who remembers
