The old gray matter seems to visualize something akin to the American product marketed under the trade name of Spam, chocolate bars, tinned snags. and dehydrated cabbage Can't remember if there were boiled sweets or not and not to forget the unique little can openers.
The other day I was thinking about the current food fad in the High Street Nosheries of dollying up grub that is  served piled high on top of other items to make it appear larger.
Wonder where that idea came from?
Isn't that how the tucker was dished up in the billy cans years ago? although granted it was with somewhat less finesse.
