On a 1961 photo  taken at St.Omer the app.chefs are wearing the SD uniform, when did they stop issuing it?
In May 64 the issue was battle dress&No2s

In 73 we were issued with BD trousers for use during eductation periods only, later that year they withdrew them and issue some synthetic green trouser that kept shrinking if I remeber correctly and new style jumpers, they called barrack dress, we also go a green plastic belt that was so stiff it cut you in two, in place of the old style webing belt that you had with the Battle dress trousers, we never wore the gatters either with the Battle dress they were taylored to fit, didn't stop the itching but.

We still had no2s for parades
