Many of you who served between 1962 and 1991 will have heard the name Tank Nash.

He was Commissioned in 1961 and rose to the rank of Brigadier.

He was Commandant of the Army School of Catering until he resigned his commision in 1991.

Tank has written many humerous articles since 1973 using the pen name "Sustainer", in 2008/9 he took to serious writing and to date has produced 3 very well written books on Military history and doesn't mince his words when analysing some serious incompetence at the highest levels.

The books published so far are:

K Boat Catastrophe: Eight Ships & Five Collisions - The Full Story of the 'Battle' of the Isle o May

This is a remarkable story of Naval incompetence, cover up and a scapegoat.....this is NOT fiction!

Valour in the Trenches - 'Bombo' Pollard VC MC* DCM HAC in The Great War

The true story of a remarkably brave man, who was though somewhat of a loner in post WWI life.

Chitral Charlie - The Rise and Fall of Major General Charles Townshend[/

The story of a very self-centred man and probably the best so far of Tank's books.

The next book is due to be published in April 2013 and is titled:

Strafer- The Life and Assassination of Lt Gen WHE Gott CB CBE DSO* MC[/

This chap went from Maj to Lt Gen in just over three years and he was selected to command the 8th Army in August 1942.  This looks very interesting.......Monty took over Gott's appointment!

You can find Tanks books at Amazon or http://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk

I'm not on commission!  But if you like your military history........these are very well worth reading.
