If anyone is interested I have written a book about my time in the corps.
It is a light hearted and amusing look at my time from recruit to cook sergeant and is obviously aimed at the likes of everyone here who might enjoy my nostalgic ramblings and a bit of humour.

The book is called ‘Confessions of a Slop Jockey, Memories of the Army Catering Corps’.
Please do not be put off by the title, it is all, as stated, a bit tongue-in-cheek.
Although all the names in the book have been altered, I am sure that some of you will recognise some of the characters, you might even be in it yourself!
